Stitch Fix

Image
After hearing lots of good things from Pam, I finally signed up for Stitch Fix today. If you haven't heard about it yet, its basically an online personal stylist service that picks out clothes for you once a month. Shipping is free, and if you don't like the clothes you don't have to keep them. I enjoy shopping every now and then, but I'll admit that lately my schedule hasn't allowed for a lot of time to feel stylish. I strongly believe that looking good makes you feel good (no one wants to meet new people and be outgoing when you feel like slob) and especially in an office, feeling like a rockstar usually results in acting like a rockstar.

I selected the outfits above as examples of things I'd like to wear (a little classic/preppy, a little casual chic). There's a bit of a wait for first time customers (July 24th was the first date available for a shipment) but I'm sooo excited to see what my first box contains!

Memorial Day in Mazama, WA

Image
This weekend we did a bit of sun-chasing and headed out to Mazama for the long weekend. Climbing, camping, and general chillaxing ensued.

Slacklining at Sunset

Image
Just slackin around the other night, enjoying the gorgeous wether we've been having.

Couch

We bought a couch from Couch today!!! Well more like ordered a couch today (it's custom made and takes some time) but the important part is that in just 6 short weeks we'll no longer be couch-less!!

Dusk Views

Image
As much as I loved the view out our little front window in Everett (favorite chair and window seat spot for watching sunsets) laying on the floor and watching the sun set over the sound and mountains in the city is just about 65,829,102 times better.

Bandera Mountain

Image
Solo hike 3/4 of the way up Bandera today (didn't feel like hiking that last 1/4 alone in a light drizzle). Views were pretty obscured by the cloud cover, but it was good to get a bit of (spotty) sunshine & fresh air.

Tiny Desert Plant

Image
The last bits of furniture/decor/etc that were being used for staging the Everett house have been officially moved out. Lots and lots of goodwill items (there's just no space for knickknacks in our new place) but a few things were worth saving. This tiny desert plant is originally from Mt. Vernon, OH (it's  successfully moved with us 4 times now) and currently makes up one half of our downtown garden (along with our fiddle leaf fig).

Mt. St. Helens

Image
Cary and I made the 12 mile trek up the Mt. St. Helens Worm Flows route this weekend. With 5700 ft of elevation gain, this is definitely on of the most epic hikes we've ever done. Although the majority of it was a steep angled snow field, no trees meant spectacular views the whole time. We happened to pick the most popular weekend for this route (750 passes were sold for Sunday alone) and got to witness the ultra fun St. Helens Mother's Day tradition of dudes hiking in dresses (thus the awesome green outfit Cary's sporting in most of the photos).
