Bandera Bear Grass

Image
Pam and I hiked Bandera today, making it the 3rd time I've hiked it in a light drizzle. This time was the most epic yet, with bear grass in full bloom and sections of almost zero visibility in the mist.

1. Pig 'n Pear / 2. Hunter Gatherer / 3. Sausage & Caramelized Onion / 4. Cowardly Apricot

Cary and I had Zaw (local take and bake pizza) for the first time on Tuesday evening, and it was so delicious that we had it again tonight! This time we got four 8" pizzas so that we could try lots of flavors. Our favorites were definitely the Hunter Gatherer and the Cowardly Apricot.

Solstice Festivities

Image
The summer solstice (officially the longest day of the year) is a big deal in Seattle, especially in some of the more hippy-ish parts of town like Fremont. We joined in the celebration by watching the naked biker parade (didn't take pictures of this part!), eating lots of fair food, and catching the sunset rays from Gas Works Park.

Goat Peak Lookout, WA

Another awesome weekend in Mazama, this time with a co-worker, his wife, and circle of friends. We had awesome weather, got to climb a bit, and enjoyed fantastic views on our hike to Goat Peak Lookout.
